Ohmygod, I get to train again.

Finally back to it, after a FULL week off to recover from being sick. I've been bouncing off the walls the last two days. Confession - yesterday I did a few pull-ups. Just a few. I couldn't help it.

Today was an at-home workout, as the guy that owns Tilton Barbell must have overslept. Since I'm sans-bar right now, I'm stuck with met-cons. Whatever. I would have done bicep curls and pelvic thrusters if I had to - I just needed a workout.

3 rounds of:
  • Run 800m
  • 20 kettlebell swings (20K)
  • 20 push-ups
18:50

I was sucking wind for sure - the last run killed me. However, it felt SO good to hold a KB again - all my swings were unbroken (the swings were my "rest" in this workout) and I'm just psyched to get back to it.

Finished with 3 rounds of KB clean & jerks (16K), just for fun. My jerks suck. Glenn Pendlay posted something on the CF boards, saying there are two kinds of people - jerkers and pressers. You can't HELP but drop under the weight if you're a jerker... and you can't HELP but press the weight up the last little bit if you're a presser. I'm a presser. No shame in that.
