Giddy up

First day back in the gym after the cert, and I still feel like I'm walking like a cowboy. I guess 16 hours of hip drive will do that to a girl. Glutes and hamstrings I expected, but my adductors too? I'm pretty sure I can skip those glute activation exercises for the next few days. I know EXACTLY where my glutes are right now.

Another half-ish intensity week, as I've got the gymnastics cert this weekend. My gym schedule has been crazypants lately, I can't wait to get back to "normal" programming.

Buy-in
  • 2 minutes of handstand holds (1:00/1:00)
  • 1 minute of L-sits (:20/:20/:20)
  • 15 pull-ups (dead hang)
Press 3x3
  • 3@60#
  • 3@60#
  • 2/1(PP) @ 60#
Cash out
  • 2 minutes of armbar stretch (2 rounds of :30 L/:30 R)
  • 30 snatches (15L/15R)
Shoulders were only slightly better than useless today. I guess 16 hours of armbar stretches, TGUs, presses and push-presses will do that to a girl. Still, wanted to get some gymnastics stuff in before the weekend.

I sent some feedback to Jeff via email, and he sent me a really nice note back. He may have used the words /quote/ perfect student /unquote/. That made the nerdy little overachieving kid in me really happy.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I actually found yours on the crossfit forum. It's something I'd like to do at some point, but right now I'm just trying to make sure I pass my fitness test in two weeks.

Congrats on the kettlebell cert.
